ARK’s Lip Blok Standard Straw Mouthpiece is the perfect solution for those seeking a simple and effective oral motor tool that provides targeted resistance to discourage tongue-thrusting, promote tongue retraction, and facilitate correct overall tongue positioning when drinking from straws. The innovative trimmable design allows for minimizing the length of the straw within the mouth, which provides a better oral motor workout, as the tongue retracts more and the lips seal better.

 The Standard Lip Blok mouthpiece fits into most standard straws, measuring .25”(6.35 mm) in diameter. Simply press the Lip Blok into the top of a straw, and drink. For best results, start with the longest and slowly switch to shorter lengths until you reach 1⁄4” (6.35 mm) — the ideal length. This hierarchy slowly teaches individuals to put less and less of the straw into their mouths. When the 1⁄4” length is reached, the fluid is deposited in the front of the mouth, where it is easier to manage and less likely to cause coughing or aspiration.
