Ark's Butter Pencil Grip was designed by occupational therapist Tina M. Butterfield, MSOT, OTR/L and developed by Ark Therapeutic. This occupational therapy pencil grip promotes proper finger positioning during writing tasks. Its round shape encourages fingers to "hug" the grip, allowing fingertips to rest just below it on the pencil. This positioning opens up the web space, supports finger muscles, and can help decrease hyperextension, thereby enhancing fine motor development and improving handwriting legibility.
Suitable for both left and right-handed individuals, the Butter Grip can be used with standard pencils, most crayons, and pens, as well as ARK's Tran-Quill Pencil, Pen, and Crayon. Measuring approximately 2.54 cm in diameter, it is recommended for children and young adults. Each pack contains two grips, available in various colors. Made in the USA from medical-grade, FDA-compliant materials, the Butter Grip is free from lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
